Introduction
Welcome to our first review for deodorants. Unlike antiperspirants, deodorants are not meant to prevent you from sweating (with aluminium), in fact it is used to neutralize any body odour with anti microbial agents. If you are looking to smell good, hop on here. This product review is on how to get rid of body odour or at least how to neutralize it. For us, living in a tropical climate with high perspiration rate, it is impossible or rather not healthy to prevent us from sweating as our body needs to release the heat and toxic out. So, when engage in activities that cause more perspiration, instead of applying colognes or antiperspirants, deodorant is the way to go (of course besides taking care of my diets).
In this review, we will take on Ursa Major, a company is well known for its natural skincare product range since 2010, founded by Oliver Sweatman & Emily Doyle who were both very experienced in the grooming and beauty industry. They saw an opportunity to provide affective skin care solution without using harsh chemicals, but blending in natural ingredients to nourish and and restore. We have been eyeing this product for a long time and finally, we got them in our hands to review.

Design & Outlook
It comes in a white plastic casing with the solid deodorant stick housed inside. On the outside itself, it looks refreshing with its white and green colour combination. It comes in two sizes 2.6oz (76.9ml full size) and 1.65oz (48.8ml travel size). With that, you don’t have to worry about when traveling as a carry on item.
Application
Rolling the stick onto dry and clean skin was easy. You might feel a cooling sensation in the beginning. The deodorant does contain some Clay (Kaolin) which helps to absorb some of the moisture. This helps to keep my body fresh and non sticky. When apply on skin, there’s a semi transparent white cast, but it disappear after awhile, leaving no residue, stain or chalky underarms. If you have mild sensitive skin due to sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), this is a safe to use as concentration is very low. However, if you are concern, they have another version – The No B.S. Deodorant, which is free of baking soda.
It has a nice minty scent in the beginning but it fades after 1 -2 hours. This product is meant to be unscented so there’s aren’t much expectation on it. The company doesn’t believes in masking body odour with some synthetic fragrance, but using natural formulas as anti microbial agents to neutralize any fouling odour. In addition, mixing fragrance with body odour from your sweat can be a very bad idea.
For those of you my friends who are used to fragrances or antiperspirants, when switching to this product, do not expect your body odour will be eliminated right away. Your body do need sometime (4 -6 weeks) to work properly again and allowing the deodorant to take effect and neutralize any bacteria. Allowing your body to sweat normally also means the body temperature can be regulated normally, releasing the heat as needed to keep you cool always.

Final Verdict
This is definitely one fine natural product, but not for those who are looking to smell good. It’s core purpose is to fight body odour and keeping you fresh with natural ingredients.
