Previously, we reviewed Kiehl’s most iconic product, the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. In this feature, we will be talking about one of their bestselling eye creams for men – the Kiehl’s Age Defender Eye Repair. As an American skincare brand with its roots steeped in the apothecary, Kiehl’s has long been known for its hardworking skincare. Yep, it started as a pharmacy in Manhattan at Third Avenue and East 13th Street in 1851, and can now be found worldwide. The premium skincare label specializes in premium skin, hair, and body care products.

There’s no doubt that the packaging is good looking — just look at its matte ebony jar, white lettering and red accents! Of course, the 14ml jar is also compact enough to be travel-friendly.

Key features

Aptly named as an “Age Defender Eye Repair”, this anti-aging eye cream is formulated to reduce puffiness, the appearance of dark circles and smoothen wrinkles around the eyes. Ingredients include Rye Seed Extract, which targets eye bags and aids in improving firmness of the skin. And for a little boost, mineral diffusers help blur the appearance of dark circles when applied.

Little to no scent.

The consistency is similar to a balm, and is non-greasy. Some men have said that it’s difficult to apply due to the thickness. To avoid the clumpiness, a simple tip you can try is to rub the product between your fingers gently before applying it. This will help it to absorb quicker and leave no residue. You may also feel a slight tingling sensation right after applying it.

Following our tip above, apply a small amount of the cream with your fourth finger tip (aka your weakest finger, to avoid pulling your skin too much) along the orbital bone and under eye area. You can apply this morning or night, but we do recommend it for night use – think of it as the equivalent of a mask for your face.

You probably won’t experience an immediate improvement for your crow’s feet. Some men have also said that the Kiehl’s Age Defender Eye Repair doesn’t work for them. However, consistent use can produce results for those experiencing issues with puffiness and dark circles.
