Introduction
We had the privilege to be one of the first ones in Southeast Asia to get our hands on their pomades – OG Pomade and Clay Pomade. For this review, allow us to introduce the Jack Henry OG Pomade.
Jack Henry was inspired by the team’s active lifestyle and quest for natural and organic grooming products. The brand’s philosophy is to craft effective, clean and pure products for the human body, so you can use it with confidence. All of their products are sourced from nature and have no artificial ingredients nor nasty chemicals. In fact, the ingredients used are actually beneficial for your body. Products are not tested on animals either.

OG Pomade’s Texture & Application
The Jack Henry OG Pomade has a smooth texture, with slight oiliness. Easily broken down when rubbed on the palm. When apply on hair, it was very smooth and easy. For medium short length hair, it requires around 1- 2 times of 5 cents size of scoop for full application. When apply on hair, you will feel it’s very light weighted and natural, as if you did not apply anything.
Use your finger to scoop a small amount. Heat is key. rub between fingers to heat and smooth out until the product disappears. Then, apply to damp hair and work through the roots for full coverage. Repeat if needed for maximum hold.
Shine
Medium Shine
Strength & Endurance
Medium Hold and able to last through the day.
Restyling is easy with a comb or fingers.
Suitable for indoors and outdoors, but not for super high intensity sports.

Front View: 8 A.M. (Before)
Very light feel when apply. With my thick hair, the hold wasn’t strong enough to tame some of my “cowlicks“

Front View: 8 P.M. (After)

Side View: 8 A.M. (Before)
Feels natural. Again, can’t really tame my stubborn hair.

Side View: 8 A.M. (After)
Hold started to diminished slightly but can be easily restyled by combing. Actually I would prefer this natural look compared to the initial styling. Less is more!
Washability
Requires 1-2 times of normal shampoo and conditioner wash.
The positive side is since it might stays longer on your hair, on the next day, it doesn’t require much pomade for styling.

Ingredients
Paraben Free & Organic
Organic Beeswax
This triple filtered beeswax is used for styling, hold and volume. It’s the base for all of their hair products. Surprisingly, it washes out super easy and leaves your hair feeling thick but still natural and light. All while giving you the control you desire and added protection from the elements.
Organic Coconut Oil
Used to soften up the beeswax and to make your hair feeling full and healthy. The organic coconut oil also moisturizes your scalp, promotes hair growth and thickness and also helps fight dandruff. It even helps protect your hair from harsh UV rays. Powerful stuff.
Organic Lavender Oil
Light and refreshing. Lavender is our go-to for a non overbearing scent.
Verdict
Jack Henry is very consistent from its branding, to the product texture and ingredient used. Simple and easy to use.
If you are looking for a natural, organic, lightweight product, and have fine hair, this is definitely a recommended product. But if you have thick hair like mine, I would prefer to use the clay pomade.
