Design and Packaging
The packaging is made out of a good solid tin, having a matte grey black colour coating on it.
Behind the labelings, if observe carefully, it depicts the ancient drawings that can be seen in temples wall. Our guess is most probably this is one of the landmarks in Tepal Valley captured by Miguel himself. In the rest of their products, you could see different designs.
Instructions on how to use is at the bottom with its ingredients list.
This is flight friendly product as it weighs 85G. Well done brother! As a traveller myself, this is an very important feature!
Scent
You will notice a good scent of Cedarwood.
Patchouli is another noticeable scent, a similarity with perfumes by the indian culture.
Fun fact, Patchouli is a plant mostly found in India, China and Southeast Asia. It is a familiar scent that can be found in some essential oils.
However, when mix with Cedarwood, it is unique on its own.
This product so far has been impressive, given the name, the scent is chosen carefully, living up to its name.

Texture & Application
Opening up the cover, you will notice a grey black volcanic colour. Scooping it out was surprisingly quite easy as compared to most clay that are mostly hardens. Its texture is much softer than Kevin’s Murphy Rough Rider, and quite similar to the Ocean Clay by Shehvoo.
In this test, I have blowed dry my hair before application as recommended. When apply the clay using fingers, it was very easy. It does not harden so you could take your time to style. You won’t need a lot of it to get a good shape. For me, 1 – 2 small coin size of it was sufficient. This product is quite versatile, so it’s quite easy to style almost for any short to medium hair styles.
Shine
Low Shine
Strength & Endurance
Medium Strong Hold. Under humid weather, it still holds well but it’s not at its strongest.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor activities
Endurance can better. Can be restyled easily.
Washability
As expected, since this an oil based product, you would need a 1 -2 times of wash with Shampoo.

Verdict
From all the products I have reviewed, the Terai Grooming Clay product is one of the most well thought craft. From the naming, to the selection of scent and ingredient used, it is carefully considered that it carries a unique identity, inspired from the great Terai Valley expedition. Personally, the scent is not my personal favourite, but the texture is excellent, easy to scoop and apply on hair. It is also very flexible to style for most hairstyles. It would be better if the endurance could last longer. If you on a road trip, or hustling in a humid urban jungle, this should be on of your grooming shelf.
