Introduction to Goldfingers Premium Pomade

Welcome to our second review for Goldfingers hair products. Previously, we had the chance to try out the Matte Paste. I would it was pretty impressive as it was quite different from the other paste products we have tested.

However, this time, for those of you who are looking for some gel like pomade with a some shine, the Goldfingers Premium Pomade might be something you are looking for. We would not speaking about the brand’s and founder background here, but if you want to find out more, just click here!

We would like to highlight that this Premium Pomade is designed to suit the tropical climate and Asia men’s hair texture (which are thicker). Can it compete with the legendary Barbers Pomade?

Let’s dive in!

Scent

Sweet Tropical Pineapple. Hawaiian vibes.

Texture & Application

For this test, I had my hair blow dry first, as always.

The texture is similar to a to any gel-like pomade. It’s very soft and easy to be scooped out from the jar. Golden in colour, disintegrating it on my palm was surprisingly pleasant and not sticky at all as some pomade tends to be very sticky.

After rubbing on my palm and fingers, applying on hair was breezy-ly easy. Using either comb or your fingers will do the job just fine. As expected, there’s a medium shine to it and it feels like there’s good hold at the beginning. Slightly similar to its brother – the Matte Paste, its hold tends to stick the hair together, causing a bit of lump towards the end of the hair. But I wouldn’t worry about that. Restyling with some water and comb would helps if it starts to tone down.
